
13 December 2025 – The ‘Warisan di Pinggan’ Programme or Heritage on a Plate programme was successfully conducted with students from UiTM Selangor Branch through a rewang-style communal cooking activity featuring traditional Malaysian dishes. Organised by the Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management in collaboration with Rafflesia College, the programme involved 54 students who worked together to prepare heritage meals for 500 students, with the support of 90 members of the college community.
This initiative integrates academic learning, knowledge sharing, and community engagement, while strengthening kitchen management skills, teamwork, and effective communication. In line with the objectives of SULAM, the programme also promotes volunteerism, creativity, and the preservation of culinary heritage.
