28 January 2026 – The Research and Innovation Division conducted a Benchmarking Visit on Research and Innovation to the Research Management Centre (RMC), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). The delegation was welcomed by Professor Dr. Nafarizal Nayan, Director of RMC UTHM, together with the management team and staff. The visit aimed to strengthen understanding and gain insights into best practices in managing the research and innovation ecosystem, including grant management processes, financial governance, and performance control mechanisms implemented with integrity.
The visit also focused on the activities, organisational structure, and programmes of UTHM’s Centres of Excellence, particularly in the areas of expertise development, industry engagement, technology transfer, and the delivery of high-impact research contributions to society and the nation. The delegation further visited the Institute for Integrated Engineering (I2E). Through discussion sessions with the RMC team, the visit is expected to serve as a strategic reference for enhancing the efficiency of research and innovation management, thereby supporting the development of a sustainable and competitive research ecosystem at UiTM.
