
12th May 2026 – A total of 49 participants from the SISPA Corps of UiTM Selangor successfully took part in the Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape (S.E.R.E) Training Programme organised by the Training Unit of the Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM) Kuala Selangor District. The participants consisted of Second Liutenants (PA), Junior Staff members, Senior SISPA Cadet Officers, Intermediate SISPA Cadet Officers, and Junior SISPA Cadet Officers. The programme was further strengthened through the participation of nine SISPA Cadet Officers from Universiti Selangor.
Designed to test both physical and mental endurance, the training exposed participants to various practical and strategic skills, including basic rescue techniques, critical thinking, and effective teamwork. The programme also reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to developing resilient, disciplined, and community-oriented students. Beyond enhancing preparedness, the experience gained throughout the training is expected to benefit participants in contributing more effectively to community well-being and emergency readiness initiatives.
