17 February 2025 – The Energy Management Division, Facility Management Office successfully organized the 'Energy Management Gold Standard' (EMGS) Certification Workshop under the 'Asean Energy Management Scheme' (AEMAS) initiative at UiTM Selangor, Puncak Alam Campus and Sungai Buloh Campus. This two-day workshop aimed to enhance understanding of more efficient energy management implementation to achieve optimal energy savings. The opening ceremony of the workshop was officiated by YBrs. Professor Dr Ahmad Taufek Abdul Rahman, Rector and was also attended by senior management, deans and 54 workshop participants from UiTM Selangor.
Fulfilling the invitation to deliver lectures were Mr Muhamad Muhtazam Noor Din, Manager of the Sustainability Division, Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC) and Ts. Dr Mohamad Fani Sulaima, Deputy Director of the Center for Smart Environment (CENSEi), University Technical Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). The organization of this EMGS certification programme is expected not only to reduce energy wastage but also to help UCS achieve cost savings while fulfilling its social and environmental responsibilities.
