16 December 2024 – The Nature & Creativity: Interactive Education Programme organized by the Sustainable Innovation and Community Development Club under the UCS Student Affairs Division in collaboration with the UiTM Faculty of Pharmacy, MaReG and the Academic Bureau of the SK Puncak Alam 2 PTA Committee, successfully took place. The programme aimed to foster awareness among the younger generation about environmental sustainability through creative and interactive approaches.
Representing YBrs. Professor Dr Ahmad Taufek Abdul Rahman, Rector of UCS, YBrs. Associate Professor Dr Haidzir Abd Manaf, Assistant Rector of the Sungai Buloh Campus, officiated the event. The programme engaged nearly 500 Level 2 students and 50 special education Level 1 students providing them with hands-on exposure to kitchen waste management and the production of sustainable products.
The success of this programme is hoped to inspire its expansion to other schools nurturing a spirit of sustainability among the younger generation and cultivating a society that is more conscious of our planet’s future.
